BPS International at the BIM Innovation Forum: BIM specialists discuss the future of planning on MS Utting
Herrsching a. Ammersee 14.5.2018- Within the framework of the BIM Innovation Forum, three BPS experts as part of the 30-person team of speakers from the BIM, IoT and GIS sectors passed on their expertise to an interested specialist audience at the BIM Innovation Forum.
The BIM Innovation Forum, sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, brought together experts from building planning and operation to discuss, promote and facilitate the application and implementation of BIM in the individual companies. The interdisciplinary network of experts thus formed enables the initiation of cooperations between the construction industry, architects and specialist engineers. The aim of the industry meeting is to develop a cross-sector network for the development and promotion of innovations in the field of “Building Information Modelling" (BIM) and to exchange best practices.
The event focused in particular on professional exchange. Dimitri Kats, Managing Director of BPS Planung GmbH, participated as an expert in the field of planning and architecture and led the discussion rounds in the field of planning with BIM and inventory digitisation. Nick Loth, Business Development Manager and Jakov Samsonov, Project Manager IoT at BPS International, also contributed their experience and expertise in BIM and IoT to the expert panel.

The event took place in a pleasant setting. Getting to know each other at breakfast together and professional exchange at the final get-together were not neglected either. The meeting was held on the famous “Ammersee Kreuzer" MS Utting.

The objective of the BIM Innovation Forum is to establish an innovative network that deals with the development and promotion of innovations in the field of “Building Information Modeling" across all industries and thereby promotes and facilitates the application and implementation of BIM in the individual companies. An interdisciplinary cooperation between the construction industry, architects, specialist engineers, IT and high-tech industry is planned as an open network with the aim of establishing a sustainable and strategic alliance. Small and medium-sized enterprises in particular are to be supported in increasing their innovative capacity through new digital technologies.
