BIM Initiative Munich
BPS International shared their BIM-experiences at the meeting of BIM Initiative Munich
BIM Initiative Munich unites more than 100 professionals that use BIM technologies for architectural and engineering planning. Among the group initiators there are leading software suppliers for BIM. So Autodesk is represented by Manager der Worldwide AEC Business Development Mr Ralf Mosler and Nemetschek AG – by the Head of Allplan GmbH Mr Jakob Przybylo. Professors of the Technical University of Munich also actively participate at the work of the group, among them Prof. Rasso Steinmann, the chairman of buildingSMART Germany.
At the four previously meetings of BIM Initiative Munich the leading architectural and engineering offices of Bavaria presented their practical experience. For example, well known office HENN-Architects gave an overview about their successful BIM-implementation for large scale projects in China.
Dimitri Kats spoke about the working experience of BPS at the fifth meeting of the group which took place on November, 24th.
“The presentation elicited great interest and ended up with a vivid discussion. The experience of BPS is interesting because of our systematical approach. We are not only skillful in dealing with Revit – we consider BIM as a complex process. Here is may be the reason for the interest for our BIM-experience from Nemetschek colleagues, although we do not use their programs”, Dimitri Kats said.
